Connecting with mums, partners and siblings

Perinatal mental health challenges affect the whole family, not just mum or dad.

That’s why we introduced our monthly Family Sessions at Ruby’s Fund in Congleton, to create a welcoming space to bring families together.

The sessions take place on the first Saturday of each month and provide an opportunity for parents who have perhaps returned to work or no longer regularly engage with our Peer Support Groups to pop back in.

It’s always lovely to see dads coming to these sessions too as it offers an opportunity to connect with other dads who are either supporting a partner or experiencing emotional wellbeing challenges too in the transition to parenthood.

Our Family Sessions are in a really friendly, relaxed environment with play facilities for children of different ages and provide hot and cold drinks and snacks.

Families from across our locations come together at these sessions, which provides the potential for new friendships to form and they bring a lovely sense of community.
