Safe, welcoming spaces for honest conversations

The transition to parenthood can be a really overwhelming experience. For expectant and new parents who may be experiencing anxiety or low mood, there is an opportunity to meet others going through a similar experience in a safe, welcoming space.

Our weekly peer support groups operate out of venues in Congleton, Nantwich, Macclesfield and Sandbach and are run by trained facilitators who are mums with lived experience.

Our intention is to create a trusted environment to enable honest conversations so parents feel supported and can be signposted to appropriate services in their local community. We know it takes courage to attend a support group when you’re feeling vulnerable but the room layout is welcoming and it’s a friendly environment where parents and little ones (up to the age of three) can relax, chat, laugh or cry in a supported space.

We have seen over the years that there is something very powerful about peer support in motion, and the friendships that blossom naturally in that environment. Our peer support groups offer the potential to speak to others who are going through a similar experience through and understand how it feels.
